The Shores Restaurant is located within the celebrated La Jolla Shores Hotel. Opened in 1970, the three-story, Spanish-style hotel property has a longstanding reputation in the La Jolla Shores neighborhood, providing 128 guest rooms, meeting and banquet facilities, a variety of recreational activities, and, of course, the oceanfront restaurant and bar of The Shores.

Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, nightly specials and an a la carte Sunday Brunch, The Shores Restaurant focuses on exceptional quality and fresh local ingredients. The restaurant’s surfside views and inviting atmosphere make for a dining experience you won’t soon forget.

The bill of fare has taken on a decidedly lighter and healthier accent under the culinary craftsmanship of Executive Chef Bernard Guillas and Chef de Cuisine Percy Oani. The chefs mix seasonal and local selections with signature dishes, while varying the menu to take advantage of Southern California's year-round fresh produce and specialty items flown in from both American coasts.

The La Jolla Shores Hotel remains one of only two beachfront hotels in the exclusive La Jolla Shores community. The hotel is owned and operated by La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, Inc., which operates a private membership club and hotel, The Marine Room Restaurant, Playa Del Oro Apartments, and the F.W. Kellogg building on Avenida de la Playa.
